How old do you have to be to volunteer at YC?
You have to be at least
18 years old and graduated from High School to Volunteer at YC.
How many volunteers does it take to make YC Alberta run smoothly?
It takes over 500 volunteers to help make YC Alberta the great event that it is! Volunteering with a friend makes it even more fun, so why not spread the word to your friends and serve at YC together? Sign up now and be a crucial part of the big event!
If I want to volunteer with a group of friends, can we be posted together?
Yes! We have recently included the option of volunteering as a small group. If you are part of a life group or Bible study group who would like to volunteer together, email a list of your group members, including the name of a group contact person, to
volunteers@extremedream.ca
I have a criminal record; can I still volunteer at YC Alberta?
Applicants with previous criminal records are considered on a case by case basis. If you have a criminal record and would like to volunteer at YC Alberta, please fax a criminal record check to our office at (780-490-7266) or phone us at 780-424-9292.
I have signed up to be a volunteer, when will I know if I have been approved and my posting?

Where can volunteers eat during the weekend?
There are two lounges for volunteers to take their breaks. One is located in the South Club of Rexall Place and one located in the Expo Centre. Volunteers are provided 4 -$5.00 food vouchers to use at Northlands Concessions throughout the weekend. Any additional food costs are at your own expense.
How much does parking cost for the weekend?
Parking is $12.00/day or $36.00 for a weekend pass.
LRT is $2.75 cash or $8.25 for a day pass.
Can I request to be at Rexall or Northlands Expo Centre?
We cannot accommodate requests to be placed in Rexall or the Expo Centre. All Volunteers help out at both Rexall and Expo Centre during the weekend.
When is Training Day and where is it held?
There are 3 different training nights for you to choose from:
- ALL Edmonton Residents are asked to attend either the Thursday, May 3, 2012 Training Night OR the Monday, May 14, 2012 Training Night happening at Millwoods Pentecostal Assembly at 7:00pm.
- ALL Residents from outside of Edmonton area are asked to attend the Friday May 25, 2012 Training at Northlands Expo Centre at 3:00pm.
